Any readers of "Blue-Grey" who are getting a little peeved about the amount of posting about the Wee Beasties of the garden, rather than, you know, Badgers, Seals, Foxes etc... - dinna fash yersel!
Both Anna and I are really enjoying taking photos of the tiny insects we are finding, and we are learning an awful lot about these things that me ("Field Boy" and zoologist) and Anna (Biologist and Science teacher) just didn't know before!
I hope "Blue-Grey" is letting you know some things about these fascinating, beautiful animals that you didn't know either?!
I took a photo of the "Fence Post Spider" today also (it was mentioned in the Arachnid section of the blog some time ago). I've upoaded the photo to the post, (swapping it for the web photo which was never very good). DO re-visit that post - you can clearly see the Fence Post Jumper's 2 huge front eyeballs!
Posts on Badgers etc... will come, don't worry! We are both itching to find a suitable evening free (when I'm not working and the wind is in the right direction) to go to the sett, to see the cubs with any luck.
Posts on other BIGGER fauna will come too - summer is almost upon us, and we definitely intend to use any light available for exploring days out!
