Not only did I bag the photos of the insects below, tonight, I also managed to get a lovely photo of this little spider - the Foliage Spider.
About 8mm in length, and related to the (common in America) "Sac Spider" which bites humans regularly, leaving pus-filled blisters as it does, our Foliage Spider spends the day in a curled-leaf, and comes out to hunt at night, like most arachnids.
The Foliage Spider is common throughout the UK, but it was nice to see it in my 6' square "meadow". Meadow my arse! No flowers yet, but the grass and weeds are doing ok!
