In case you hadn't heard, Britain, well, the east of Britain anyhoo, is to expect a VERY cold snap over the next 3 days or so.
I wouldn't read too much into the apocalyptic predictions of blizzards in the media, but its fair to say the temperature at night may well break minus ten celcius. I think (hope) this cold snap should have gone by the start of next week, and I also desperately hope our Blue Tit box camera doesn't break under the strain of those sorts of temperatures - its only tested down to about minus eight celcius I think...
NB. A day later (3/1/08) and the weather forecast has been amended somewhat. A day, maybe two, of quite cold weather brought in on a continental easterly. Maybe some frost, maybe a dusting of snow over eastern Scotland and one or two places in the south east of England. Warm(ish) again by Saturday....
