This beautiful (if somewhat squat) lighthouse was re-erected in 1953 after the aforementioned earthquake.
Agia in Greek (pronounced Ayia) means saint, so this lighthouse is "Saint Theodore's lighthouse".
It was sympahtetically re-built (with the classic Doric pillars) on a spit of land jutting into the Lixouri / Argostoli gulf - which certainly has "Wine-Dark" waters, all very romantic really, especially in a sunset.
