Scargill and his "uvver arf" got absolutely drenched yesterday. It rained all day, and there was no food put out for them by us.
We put a tub of approximately 30 Waxworms out this morning (Anna did manage to pick some up yesterday afternoon), and the Tits snapped them ALL up within 20 minutes, at 05:30am this morning! (All bar two caterpillars anyway - our visiting female House Sparrow had them).
We just cannot give our Tits enough food at the moment, though we've only bought 6 tubs - so we'll hve to ration them to make them last a week. The young Tits (I think there is at least 6 in the Box) are getting really quite noisy now, and the parents can't bring food, nor carry away the nestlings' faecal pellets quickly enough...
